This oil is refined from rare corn germ, which is produced under separate production and distribution control, by pressing without the use of solvents.
Corn has been cultivated in Central America for approximately 5,000 years and is currently grown mainly in the USA and China as one of the three major cereals along with rice and wheat. It is said to have been introduced to Japan via Europe during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1568-1600).
